Welcome to episode 58.1 of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels: The Awakening. On this Scoundrels Special Edition, Dennis and Darth Taxus dive into the recent issues of Poe Dameron and discuss the “The Awakening” story arc. Everyone knows how Rey and Finn esacaped Jakku, but what bout Poe? In the aftermath of the The Last Jedi, the three faces of the First Order sit around the chess table on the Millennium Falcon and Poe passes the transit time in hyperspace with the tale of how he escaped from “nowhere.” Also, just who was telling that story of the attack on Starkiller base?
Poe Dameron may be ending soon, but it isn’t over yet. “The Awakening” is the first story to put Finn, Rey, and Poe all in the same conversation. Also, where was the rest of Black Squadron during The Last Jedi. Leia had plans for them. In addition, Dennis and Darth Taxus follow up on the “Burning Seas” story arc with a brief discussion of the final issue of the story.
Thanks for tuning into episode 58.1 of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels: The Awakening.
