Welcome to episode 67 of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels: Star Wars of Decembers Past. On this episode, the Scoundrels are looking back at the Star Wars movies of past Decembers. Although there isn’t a new Star Wars movie this winter, it is still fun to look back at the last three holiday releases.

Things were fairly quite in the realm of Star Wars news. However, Harrison Ford is receiving an award, and Star Wars Celebration Chicago announced their first guest. The Scoundrels discuss these stories in this week’s coverage of the news.

NOTE: The news of the new live action series featuring Cassian Andor broke the day after the Scoundrels recorded this episode. Although it is covered briefly in this episode, we’ll cover it in more depth on episode 68.

Star Wars of Decembers Past
Since Disney acquired Lucasfilm, Star Wars became a staple of the holiday season. However, that tradition is on a temporary hiatus in 2018. With no new Star Wars film to look forward to next month, Dennis, Jay, and Darth Taxus revisit the Star Wars movies of the last three Decembers: The Force Awakens, Rogue One, and The Last Jedi. They revisit the hype and promotion of the films leading up to their release. They’ll reflect on some of the twists and surprises from the movies as well. It is a fun trip down memory lane, so join the Scoundrels for the fun.
